- Never wear your binder for more than 8 hours per day, and take breaks where possible and practical.
- Do not wear your binder whilst sleeping - your body needs time to rest and relax.
For exercise, Transform binders are designed without rigid internal panelling, which means your ribcage can still expand naturally during physical activity. You can wear your Transform binder during exercise provided it feels comfortable and supportive. Remove it immediately if you experience any pain, difficulty breathing, or dizziness. Read our
full guide to chest binding for exercise and sport.
- If you experience any pain wearing your binder, remove it immediately. We offer an
adjustable crop binder that can be adjusted throughout the day.
- If you suffer from asthma, lupus, scoliosis, fibromyalgia or any condition which impacts your breathing, please consult a doctor before wearing a binder. We have included a list of health resources
here.
- Take at least one day off chest binding each week. For your 'off' days, why not try our compression t-shirts -
short sleeve and
long sleeve - or our
sensory compression vests.
- When you remove your binder, take several deep breaths to ensure you are not experiencing any pain, and to let your muscles stretch.
- If you are experiencing any lung symptoms, such as those which may be experienced with COVID-19, you should not wear your binder.
- If you have any questions or concerns about binding safely, consult your doctor, or one of our recommended ones
here.
