At Transform Transwear, every garment begins with a conversation—often with you. Our product development process is driven by community needs and feedback, ensuring that what we make truly supports gender expression and comfort.
Here’s how we create our gender-affirming clothing:
1. It Starts With You
We listen to what you want—whether it’s through our style quiz, social media conversations, in-store chats at our Naarm shop, or emails. Every suggestion helps us design products that make you feel at home in your body.
2. Research & Refinement
We look at what’s available in the market. If the product doesn't yet exist, we start designing.
If a similar product exists, we ask: can it be better? More comfortable? Higher quality? If the answer is yes, we start designing.
3. Designed Locally in Naarm
We collaborate with talented local designers to bring your ideas to life. Once the design feels right, we develop patterns—crafted right here in Naarm.
4. Sampling & Perfection
We make our first sample locally, test it, and (almost always) make improvements before creating a second sample.
5. From Studio to Manufacturer
When we’re happy with the design, patterns, and fabric selections, we send them to our manufacturer for a first factory sample.
6. Real-World Testing
Our community testing panel—made up of trans and gender-diverse folks in Naarm—road tests the garments. They give us real feedback so we can make final tweaks before production.
7. Small-Batch Production
Once everything is perfect, we produce in small batches, prioritising quality and sustainability.
